It seemed a little quiet around here today as our 9th and 10th graders are all out of camp on their overnight trips. The Upper Timbers were more than happy to take their place as the leaders of camp for the day! The morning started out a bit wet and we ran a modified rainy day schedule which included a full cast rehearsal for our upcoming performance of Frozen, games and entertainment in the Dining Hall, a special clipboard project for the Girls’ Area, music, video, and more!
The afternoon cleared up a bit and we were able to squeeze in one activity period (and an intercamp soccer game) before the rain washed us out once again. Our U13 boys soccer team played Camp Wigwam and came away with a 3-2 victory. Goals were scored by Jake, Borja, and Alec! We were lucky enough to enjoy our very first Camp Micah Clinic Concert where some of our talented camper musicians dazzled us with their skills.
After a delicious pizza dinner, campers participated in an array of evening activities, including teambuilding at the Ropes Course, silly putty making, “Get to Know Your Counselors” game show for the Timbers, a scavenger hunt, and “Cupcake Wars!” A gorgeous sunset brought this perfect camp day to an end.
We’re all looking forward to Trip Day tomorrow. Don’t forget it’s late wake up and breakfast is at 9am before all campers leave camp for the day!
