Critters
(Grades 2-4)

The Critter program is structured so that rising 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade campers do the activities that they love, while also introducing them to all parts of camp. Each Critter camper meets with a member of the Programming Team in order to choose a few of the electives on their individual schedule.

All Critters are required to participate in instructional swim, which occurs every activity day. We run a Red Cross swim program and all of our lessons take place in our heated pool. They all have Waterfront on their schedules 3x per week where they are encouraged to try out each of the various activities offered throughout the summer (canoeing, kayaking, sailing, waterskiing, free swim, and more).

We have a special art program for Critters, exposing them to all of the different art programs we offer. Critters visit the Art Underground 3x per week and rotate between the various programs. They will participate in arts & crafts, woodworking, ceramics, and jewelry making.

Bunk counselors for this age group are specifically chosen for their patience, nurturing quality, and ability to assist Critter campers in all the areas that their parents would at home (ie brushing teeth, folding clothes, staying organized, and making sure they have everything they need for the day – sunscreen, water bottle, and their individual schedule).
