One night after Shabbat services were over, our bunk, G-14 ’19, went back to our bunk and decided to do something extravagant. Our counselors brought us into the lounge and told us that we were going to paint over the female staff 2019 rock that night. All of us were so excited because we were able to leave our mark on camp. That night, we went out and got our paint and decided to paint over the rock. It said “G-14 ’19” with all of our names signed around it. The next day, crowds of campers came to observe the rock and wanted to do the same. We were so excited to be the start of a new tradition at camp. Later that summer, the critter girls painted over the rock, and G-14 ’20 did also. Our whole bunk was so happy to have the opportunity to start something new at Camp Micah because that’s what camp is all about!
