From this experience we discovered true friendship, how to be spontaneous, and to not wait for the storm to pass when you could learn to shower in the rain.Rachel, Zoe, and Leah

In the midst of one of our summer days here at Camp Micah, it started to downpour. After sprinting back to our bunks, we were told that the showers were not to be turned on, due to thunder and lightning. Our counselor jokingly said to “shower in the rain.” Being the sixth graders we were, we accepted the challenge – after the danger of the thunder and lightening passed, obviously! We grabbed our shower caddies and goggles and the adventure began. Laughter filled the air like fireworks on the 4th of July. We splashed in the puddles with our bunk as the soap bubbled in our hair. Luckily, in our favor, the power of the rain was able to rinse out the soapiness. By the time our fun experience came to an end, we were drenched from head to Crocs and our faces ached from smiling so much. From this experience we discovered true friendship, how to be spontaneous, and to not wait for the storm to pass when you could learn to shower in the rain.
